This grinding plate of tempered, 1/4-inch (6.4 mm) thick glass with ground edges is ideal for paint making and mixing. Choice of plain smooth or sandblasted textured surface. The sandblasted surface does not need to be abraded before use for grinding pigments into a paint binder. Use grinding plates with a muller to disperse pigments and other materials into the paint medium. Use the plain surface to mix paints or as a palette to lay out colors.
